We face a myriad of decisions in life as we navigate our way through worldviews surrounding us. A crucial determination in our lives is to commit to a worldview. The Apostle Paul gives us guidance in that regard, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
These thoughts were a major part of the discussion at the FCA meeting last Tuesday evening. It was agreed that the Christian Worldview provides solid answers to who we are, from where we came , meaning in life, and our eternal destiny. How do we choose? How do we decide? The Word of God guides us and the Holy Spirit gives us direction. Psalm 119:105; JN 7:39
Life involves decisions…
“See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.” Deuteronomy 30:15-16
Christianity is more than an ideology. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through me.” JN 14:6 Jesus also said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” JN 10:10
Let’s Pray: Father, I pray that you would provide clear focus and direction in the decisions that each of these athletes will face. As they look to be grounded in your Word, may they hear from you. As they desire to be led by your Holy Spirit, may they find their path illuminated by your leading. Thank you for the Truth that is ours through your Son, Jesus. Amen.
God Bless and Guide!
