A deep sense of sadness accompanies the dense fog around us here today. Motivation is difficult to find as we look ahead to what needs to be done today. We find it nearly impossible to comprehend what the loved ones of those who perished last night must be feeling.
Heavenly Father, it is for those dear ones who are feeling incomprehensible anguish that we come to you. You are the One who can touch their breaking hearts and crushed spirits.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalms 34:18 NIV
This is our prayer. That you would draw close to those who are hurting from this tragic and horrific incident. Bring friends and loved ones to sit by their side. To embrace them in their pain. And as reality sets in, grant them your mercy and grace.
