“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? ..
Matthew 6:25-34
Okay, so I have been worrying. When something occupies your mind with, “Okay, HOW am I going to do this.” “What happens if I mess this up?” “There are so many things against me.”, it takes you off your game.
If you are a student of the Scripture and if you know God’s loving mercy and grace, you know that Satan is real and that he is an enemy to those who believe in the Lord, Jesus.
So, with my encounter with worry, this is what I have come to realize through prayer and the reading of His Word.
Worry is Satan’s Warrior and Trust is God’s Templar.
A Templar, mainly known as a part of the Knights Templar, was a Knight within the military order of the Catholic faith and were among the most skilled fighting units of any military order at the time.
So, if Worry is the Warrior of Satan, it is encouraging to know that we have the victorious Jesus, as the Templar of All Time, on our side.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:10
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Psalm 20:7
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
When Worry comes your way, know that this is not of God. As we Trust in Him, He will serve as our Templar, fighting the battle while giving us the armor to withstand the attack.
May His Grace, Mercy and Peace be yours,
Larry
