God is Faithful

Promises are easier to make than to keep. Commitment in the world of college sports is particularly transitory today. There is little hesitation in a growing number of athletes to head to the portal and “commit” to another school.

What does that say about character? Character is developed positively as we follow through with what we said we were going to do. Even when the path to which we have committed takes a challenging turn or unforeseen obstacles cause us to question. Character is developed when we push through the unexpected. Dealing with the unexpected is the training workout for going beyond what we had envisioned.

There is no transfer portal In Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:9

God is faithful to us. Everything about Him is reliable. He has recruited us through Jesus and called us His children. “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12

“Father, May we be as faithful to others and in our commitments as you have been faithful toward us. Help us to walk out a life faithful to you and your calling upon our lives. Give us courage and strength to face the unexpected with renewed confidence in you and your presence. Help each one of these athletes to renew their commitment to their training, their studies, their relationships and find you walking beside them each day in faithfulness.” Amen

God Bless you guys!

Larry
