The WSU band was marching around campus Friday afternoon and it was vivifying to watch and listen. The driving cadence of the percussion was punctuated with the cheers of the band members as they sounded excited and invigorated to be back on campus.
You’ve probably had a similar feeling as you have stepped back on the track or into the Team Room or getting back with teammates and friends.
The YouVersion app verse of the day is “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.”
Psalm 105:1
Reading it, gives me the same kind of enlivened step as that of hearing the freshly energized band on Friday.
It’s rejuvenating to step back on campus again but even more invigorating to experience God’s presence in our lives and to be motivated to share with others what He means to us.
Let’s pray – Father, we desire to proclaim your Name and to praise you for who you are. You have shown yourself to be our provider, our protector, our guide into all truth, a comforter, a God who loves us and one who will never leave us.
Give us opportunity to share your goodness and the reason for our exalted praise to you with others. We pray for the Newcomers and for a smooth transition into our program and into this college experience. Give us wisdom and a caring spirit as we see opportunities to reach out to them. – Amen
