Christian Light or Christian Lite?

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

There is a promise here. Right in line with Jesus saying He will never abandon us. Darkness is a part of our every day, either directly or indirectly. We live in a dark world. But…

“In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬
You will face some dark situations in this coming semester. Jesus’ life in you is your Light. Are you being called to stand strong in the light? Don’t fear the darkness. Don’t stand off in the corner as Christian Lite when you have an opportunity to share your faith in the darkness knowing that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. 1

There is no Jesus Lite. Jesus IS the Light!

Let’s pray- Father, I pray for each athlete returning to campus. And, for the athletes who are walking on campus for the first time as a Shocker. Thank you for a summer of reflection and preparation. May each one know You and that you are leading and guiding their path. And, that no matter what challenges may be ahead, you are the Light that illuminates their path. Help us to trust in you for all of our needs. Give us your strength, hope and perseverance to grab hold of every opportunity ahead.
